Mount Edith Cavell is a mountain located in the Athabasca River and Astoria River valleys of Jasper National Park, Canada, and the most prominent peak entirely within Alberta. At 2007 metres, the mountain has the most prominent peak in Alberta. On this evening, I waited until long after sunset to being capturing some starscapes. By 11:30 pm, the scene was just right and resulted in this image. Standing there, in the absolute silence and presence of this magnificent mountain was almost like meditating. It is an evening that I will never forget, one of the most memorable of my whole photographic career.
