On this evening, the tide was running high and rushing over the rocks beneath my feet. I was very careful not to get pulled into the moving water as the rocky channels were quite deep. The surge was powerful and the sun was just beginning to fade when I made this image. The most compelling part of this image is the movement it conveys, you can feel the water moving and yet, the serenity of the warm clouds makes you feel calm. This is what I love about being a photographer, the opportunity to see and feel these things in the midst of the beauty of nature.
