Neko Harbour is a deeply beautiful cove on the Antarctic Peninsula. The area is hemmed in by tall mountains and to the right in this image is a massive glacier. Once again, the scale of things in Antarctica is beyond compare. The small vessel you see in the bay is our ship, dwarfed by the surrounding mountains and headlands. We hiked up the ridge to the point where I made this image. I stood there for a long time after I had photographed, just soaking in one of the most magnificent landscapes I had ever seen on this planet we call home.
