Mount Rundle is an iconic mountain that overlooks the town of Banff. In the foreground is the Vermillion lakes which give a wonderful framing to the scene. On this evening, I set up my tripod and camera and began waiting for the right lighting to commence shooting. Being near the water was a mistake, the mosquitoes were relentless and bit continually. I spent 2 hours out here on that evening and when I got back to my hotel, I had over 50 mosquito bites. I was extremely happy with this image is spite of the annoying insects, it was one of the images that I wanted when I visited the Rockies and I am glad that I was able to capture such a beautiful scene on a perfect (well, almost...) evening.
